Introducing the new Sproutit Forums

Posted by charles at July 08, 2007

We launched the Sproutit Forums last year to provide Mailroom customers a way to easily communicate with both Sproutit and other Mailroom users. We’ve been using it for the last year, but we felt that some missing features in the software we were using (such as broken RSS feeds) were really holding us back from making the forums all they can be.

A few weeks ago, we made the decision to drop our existing forum software and move to something new called Beast. Today we are rolling out that change.

This is by far the best forum system we’ve ever had for Sproutit. Its integrated with the rest of our site so you won’t feel like you are on another planet when you visit. Most importantly, it supports RSS feeds and email notifications so both you and we can know immediately when someone posts something new.

The only downside to using Beast is that we’ve had to basically clear out all of the data from our old forum to make the transfer. If you’ve signed up for our forum before, you’ll need to sign up for this one again. Since the old forum was not used heavily before, we think you’ll agree that the benefits of this new system far outweigh the inconvenience of having to create a new login.

If you’ve never used our forums before, or even if you have, click on over to check them out and leave a note to say hi.
