Sproutit.com Selected to Launch New Product at Prestigious DEMO Conference

Sproutit.com was founded in 2005 by entrepreneurs Charles Jolley, Chris Bauman and Peter Gohman. The company is dedicated to delivering the same powerful business applications that drive multinational corporations so that smaller businesses are better equipped to compete.

“Being invited to DEMO is an honor for any company, so you can imagine how excited we are to be launching our very first product at such a legendary gathering of technology, financial and business leaders,” Jolley said. “We couldn’t ask for a better venue in which to introduce the first program in our suite of small business software.”

Produced by legendary tech industry analyst Chris Shipley, DEMO is widely regarded as the premier launchpad for emerging technologies. Past DEMO conferences have served as the debut venue for such blockbuster tech companies as Palm, E*Trade, Handspring and U.S. Robotics. DEMO conferences help tech companies secure venture funding, establish critical business relationships, and influence early adopters.

“Products like the one Sproutit.com will launch at DEMO are the very reason why our conference exists,” Shipley said. “I predict the tech world will be excited about Sproutit’s groundbreaking product.”

Prior to founding Sproutit.com, Jolley wrote several well-received software programs for the Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh platforms. Co-founders Bauman and Gohman, both former staff sergeants in the U.S. Marine Corps, founded a shoe products import business.

The three founders met while studying business at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.

In mid-2005, the founders moved to Prague because the lower cost of living in the Czech Republic enabled them to focus their attention solely on building Sproutit.com. They will return to California in the summer of 2006.

Jolley, Bauman and Gohman are chronicaling Sproutit’s preparations and trip to DEMO on their blog, The Big Act, found at sproutit.com.
